Matthew Ewald’s Short Stories Review

I want to start this review by saying how much I love and adore Matthew Ewald’s short stories.

I am going to start this review with the totally awesome and brilliant first short story and is called Stolen Innocence. Matthew wrote this story way back in April 2008and was the first story with the evil, scary Grimwalkers. This story is very spooky, frightening and the suspense was spine-tingling from the beginning to the end. I love how it starts of all calm and happy and then turns dark and dangerous. The Grimwalkers are the most horrific villains to be made by someone so awesome as Matthew is. I love how the Grimwalkers haunt the main character throughout the story and make Mr Ramsay do terrible things and it is brilliant not to know what the Grimwalkers look like.

The second short story Matthew wrote is called Alleyway Dead. The story was at first was very strange and I didn’t really understand what was going on. The main character is David, A young boy who loves watching Horror Movies even though his mother forbids from watching, In this story, You can see a lot of Matthew in David. I love the ending the most and to find out what David’s mother and father does is awesome to read. People who read this story will love the amazing twist at the end of Alleyway Dead.

The third short story is called The Plague Saints, This is my favourite story of them all and it is the second time with The Grimwalkers. Just like in Stolen Innocence the suspense is spine-tingling and truly horrific. This time we find out The Grimwalkers can only come to our world when making a deal with someone very weak, this time they made a deal with a little terrified boy named Michael who is made to go down a pit by the nasty Head Vatican Plague Saint Jonas Alexander Dekloon because of Michael’s mother’s sin. Readers will very sad for Michael and hatred towards the Head Vatican. All Michael wants is his mother and the end is a excellent one at that.

People who read all three short stories will be Frightened, Shocked and will love all them and makes you want to read other short stories Matthew has done. You could try to imagine the Grimwalkers from how Matthew describes them from those two fantastic story. I did that when I first read Stolen Innocence and now I wish I never have done.

Unfortunately the website called Fantastic Horror containing the stories has disappeared now which is a real shame. Readers would of love to hear the audio version of Stolen Innocence.
